Forbes named Telegram founder Pavel Durov the richest man in the UAE

Forbes magazine recognized the founder of the messenger Telegram Pavel Durov the richest man in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the publication, his fortune reached $15.1 billion.

Also, Durov is the 123rd place in the ranking of the world's billionaires. At the same time, since 2021, the businessman has lost almost 2 billion dollars - last year his fortune exceeded 17 billion dollars.

It should be noted that Durov has the citizenship of four countries - Russia, the state of St. Kitts and Nevis, France and the United Arab Emirates. In 2017, the Telegram founder moved to Dubai and was granted UAE citizenship in 2022.

In the spring of 2021, Durov entered Russia's top 10 billionaires for the first time, when he was ranked No. 9 by Forbes Russia. In April 2022, the businessman moved up to No. 3.
