Free meals will be organised for primary school pupils

In accordance with the draft presidential decree, in order to improve the quality of education, from 1 September 2023, the practice of teaching 2 foreign languages and one profession in one school in each district (town) will be established.

From the academic year 2023/2024:

-new educational programmes will be introduced in phases;
-Free meals will be provided to primary school pupils in all regions of the republic and in Tashkent city;
-State grants will also be made available in the form of dual training for colleges and technical colleges.

In order to expand pre-school education coverage, from 1 April 2023:

-It will be allowed to establish new community kindergartens on non-residential floors of apartment buildings or through acquisition of other houses;
-for this project, restrictions on pledging this building to a private partner who has built a private kindergarten on leased land in a public-private partnership will be lifted.
