French media: Uzbekistan's cultural heritage and its position on the international arena are high

"The Great Moments of Uzbekistan's Art" in the French magazine "Valeurs actuelles", "Along the Roads of Samarkand - a Unique Exhibition" on the Internet portal "Veridic" and "Uzbekistan Leading Central Asia" on "Revue Conflicts" published articles with the title "In Desire.

"Materially, from ancient times until the kingdoms of the first century AD, before the arrival of Turkic and Hun nomadic groups, Uzbekistan was the cradle of various civilisations and cultures. This region of Central Asia soon became the centre of the Islamic world and caused the rise of its material culture. "Wonders of Uzbekistan's oases" at the Louvre. "The presentation of the ancient Quran at the exhibition 'At the Crossroads of Caravan Roads' is a sign of cardinal changes in the region," writes the French magazine.

The exhibition focuses on the history of the Great Silk Road, which ran through the southern region of modern-day Uzbekistan, and features works of monumental and machine art, wall paintings, carved details of palaces, and decorative and applied art. In all, visitors can see 168 museum exhibits.

Also on view at the Arab World Institute is the second exhibition, 'The Road to Samarkand, Uzbekistan's Colours and Splendour', which offers the international public in France more than 300 exhibits from the country's nine major museums.
