From April 1, the disability pension for disabled citizens will be increased

In compliance with to the Presidential Resolution "On additional measures to support persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups of the population", the system of social support for people with disabilities, families caring for children in need of permanent care will be enhanced.

Pursuant to the document, starting from April 1, 2022, the minimum amount of disability pension for disabled citizens and disability pension in case of incomplete length of service, will be increased from 440,000 UZS to 622,000 UZS including additional payment.

In addition, a legal representative of a child under the age of 18 with a disability in need of care will receive a monthly allowance of 500,000 UZS.

The maintenance pension is assigned and paid by the district (city) branches of the Extrabudgetary Pension Fund on the basis of citizens' applications to the Centers of Public Services or the Single interactive state services portal.

What is more, information on children in need of foster care from 1 April, 2022 and information on legal representatives of children in need of foster care from 1 October, 2022 are formalized without requiring additional documentation and in a “proactive form”. Together with the Ministry of Finance, the Agency for the Development of Medical and Social Services and the Ministry of Health, from October 2022, children with disabilities under the age of 18 and children under the age of 18 with human immunodeficiency virus will receive benefits and care allowances from citizens.
