Google will present its first smartphone with a foldable screen in June

Google is planning to present its first foldable smartphone - "Pixel Fold" in June this year. This smartphone will compete with Samsung's market-leading folding screen phones, reports CNBC.

According to the document obtained by the publication, the foldable part of the Pixel Fold phone will be the most durable. It competes with Samsung's $1,799 Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone. The starting price is expected to be $1,700.

The Pixel Fold is water-resistant and pocketable, with a 5.8-inch (14.7 cm) external display. The phone opens like a book and turns into a small 7.6-inch (19.3 cm) tablet. Its weight is slightly heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 at about 283 grams.

"However, it has a larger battery that can run for 24 hours or up to 72 hours with power saving mode enabled," the document states.
