Grand opening of the V International Congress of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan

The revival of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan is the basis of a new renaissance. The ceremony of summing up the results of the 5-year activity of the World Society has been launched.

At the plenary session of the conference, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic M. Dzhumatayev, President of the British Institute of Persian Studies C. Melville, Head of the Faculty of Tourism and Event Management of the Dresden University of Applied Sciences A. Rodan-Pons, specialist in Greek-Achaemenid relations and branching of Central Asia M. Iliakis, architect, specialist in urban planning and regional projects E. Huiberts, Doctor of Art History, Director of the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan K. Akilova delivered lectures.

Central Asia is one of the oldest cradles of human civilization, with a rich cultural and scientific heritage. This region, located at the crossroads of intercontinental trade and cultural routes, was considered a center of enlightenment, science and education, the study of thinking, faith, experience, as well as crafts.
