Hackers stole a record amount of cryptocurrency last year

Hackers attacked cryptocurrency companies in record numbers in 2022, according to a report by MIA's Cyber Security Centre.
According to the latest report from Chainalisis, a blockchain data and software provider that creates tools and research for crypto exchanges and financial institutions, hackers stole $3.8 billion in crypto assets from the crypto community last year through hacking.
Electronic evidence suggests that most cryptocurrency hackers are linked to North Korea. It is noted that the most prominent group among North Korean cybercriminals is Lazarus Group.
In addition, crypto-assets worth $100 million were stolen in the Harmony Blockchain hack by a group that has committed numerous cybercrimes around the world.
