Head of state drew attention to efficiency of construction projects

On October 17, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took a look at the presentation of a number of construction projects. The first of them concerned the Olympic city. At another presentation, a project on development of tourism in the Parkent district was presented. Plans to expand conditions for pilgrims at Hakim at-Termizi mausoleum in Surkhandarya region were also discussed during the presentation.

The Olympic Village is designed to host the 2025 Asian Youth Games. In accordance with the requirements of international sports federations, projects for the construction of an Olympic stadium, indoor and outdoor complexes, swimming pools for water and rowing sports have been prepared.

In today's presentation the organizational and financial aspects of this major project were discussed. The responsible persons informed about the foreign companies' offers and delivery schedules of construction materials and sports equipment.

Along with the construction of the Olympic campus, the Head of State paid special attention to the issue of its effective use in the future.

-First of all it is necessary to make a clear work plan, to build a high quality complex, to hold the Asian Games at a high level. The next important question is how to use the campus in the future. That's why after the competitions it is necessary to turn this place into a training center for coaches and athletes. The administrative buildings could house the Ministry of Sports Development and the Federation. Then there will be a coherent sports atmosphere here. Along with the construction of sports facilities for our youth, it is also necessary to develop the methodology," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

A project on development of tourism in Parkent district was also presented at the presentation. The issue was considered at a session of the Tashkent regional Kengash of People's Deputies on September 22 this year. The resident stressed that the region has very great tourism opportunities, and instructed to use the potential of the districts.

The presentation also discussed plans to expand conditions for pilgrims at Hakim at-Termizi mausoleum in Surkhandarya region.
