Higher education institutions with high numbers of unemployed graduates may be closed

Higher education institutions with high numbers of unemployed graduates in Uzbekistan could be deemed to provide poor-quality education, and the closure of such institutions could be considered.

It was noted that Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurahmonov will pay special attention to the issue of employment of graduates of higher and vocational education institutions, especially of non-state higher education institutions at an expanded meeting in online format. with a large number of unemployed graduates will be identified persons providing low-quality education, and subsequently they will be fired.

Proposals were also voiced at the meeting regarding the creation of a list of talented students in higher education institutions and the establishment of a mechanism for dealing with them separately.
