Historic day for the Turkic council

As we reported earlier, on March 31, 2021, a video conference of the informal summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States was held. This day is truly vividly imprinted on the pages of the history of the Turkic peoples. Following the summit, agreements were announced by the heads of state and leaders of the Council: 1. The city of Turkestan was proclaimed the spiritual capital of the Turkic world. 2. The initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev to change the name of the Turkic Council was confirmed. 3. The relevant authorities of the Member States were instructed to work with the Secretariat to prepare the projects "Vision of the Turkic World -2040" and "Strategy of the Turkic Council for 2020-2025" 4. Solidarity was expressed to the government and people of Azerbaijan in their efforts to rehabilitate, restore and reintegrate the territories affected by the conflict, and supported the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. 5. The importance of economic prospects was emphasized so that the Turkic Council could set more ambitious and achievable goals. 6. Confirmed the establishment of the institution of the International Alisher Navoi Prize within the framework of the Turkic Council in connection with the celebration of the 580th anniversary of the great poet; 7. Relevant bodies of the member states were instructed to hold coordinated events in cooperation with the organizations of Turkic cooperation to celebrate the 1005th anniversary of Zhusup Balasagyn, the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi, the year of Yunus Emre and the Turkish language, the 580th anniversary. Alisher Navoi, 175th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev, 155th anniversary of Alikhan Bokeikhan and 120th anniversary of Husein Karasaev, outstanding poets, philosophers and statesmen of the Turkic world. 8. The significant achievements of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council since the last Summit are highly appreciated. In conclusion, the heads of state expressed deep gratitude to E.P. Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy and Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council on the initiative of holding the Informal Summit of Turkestan and E.P. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the successful completion of the discussions at this meeting.
