How many foreign students study in Uzbekistan?

According to the State Statistics Committee, at the beginning of the 2021/22 academic year, the number of international students studying in higher education institutions in Uzbekistan amounts to 5.1 thousand.

Number of foreign students studying in higher educational institutions of the republic over the years:

Academic year 2016/2017 – 603;

Academic year 2017/2018 – 1320;

Academic year 2018/2019 – 2685;

Academic year 2019/2020 – 3593;

Academic year 2020/2021– 4219;

Academic year 2021/2022 – 5140.

P.S: As of January 1, 2020, 53 thousand Uzbek students are studying offshore.
