Huge results achieved in the system of labor relations were highly recognized by the International Labor Organization
On November 22 this year in Tashkent there was presentation of monograph "Confidence Building in the Cotton Fields: Activities of International Labor Organization in Uzbekistan" by Kari Tapiola, former Advisor of Director General of the International Labor Organization.
The event, jointly organized by the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor and the International Labor Organization, plays an important role in developing new proposals and ideas as part of the process of taking stock of labor relations in Uzbekistan and improving the principles of decent work in the country.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, the Chairman of the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor Tanzila Narbayeva, the Director of the Bureau of the International Labor Organization for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Olga Kulaeva, former Advisor to the Director-General of the organization Kari Tapiola and specialists and experts from several international organizations, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and departments.
Thus, the Chairwoman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis T. Narbayeva in her speech emphasized that in recent years in our country under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan reforms and positive results in the system of labor relations are carried out, work on elimination of forced labor and child labor, as well as large-scale systematic work with international organizations to develop the sphere based on international standards is conducted.
