Hydrogen turbines in Russia

Russia plans to build hydrogen turbines and convert part of its electric power industry to hydrogen in the next five to six years. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.

“In the horizon of five to six years, we expect to complete work on the creation of hydrogen turbines to transfer part of the power generation to the most environmentally friendly fuel,” said Manturov

The Minister invited Italian companies at a meeting of the Russian-Italian Council for Economic and Industrial Cooperation to join the implementation of Russian environmental projects. According to Manturov, Italy has plans for the development and practical application of hydrogen technologies.
