Hyundai wants to become one of the largest electric car manufacturers

Hyundai, led by billionaire Eisun Chung, aims to become one of the top three electric car manufacturers by 2030 and is investing $18 billion to do so. This is reported by Forbes.

It is noted that the three companies within the conglomerate, subsidiaries of Hyundai Motor, Kia and Hyundai Mobis, together plan to increase domestic production of electric cars to 1.51 million units and global production to 3.64 million units by 2030. this project includes 31 models of electric cars, including Kia and Genesis brands.

"We are focused on enhancing the competitiveness of the entire electric vehicle ecosystem, including research and development, production and infrastructure," said Ho Sung Song, CEO of Kia, on behalf of Hyundai Motor Company.
