In 2022, it is planned to launch more than 120,000 new projects in the service sector

A video conference on measures to provide employment and increase incomes of population through development of services sector is being held under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In 2022, it is intended to launch more than 120,000 new projects in the service sector, increase the volume of services to 435 trillion UZS (last year - 283 trillion UZS) and create 1.5 million jobs in the sphere.

"However, some district and city heads and their first deputies cannot organize their work properly.

For example, in January-May, 756 thousand jobs have been created in the service sector. However, only 232,000 jobs, or 31%, were introduced in new businesses.

The remaining 510,000 jobs are self-employed," the President said.

The city of Tashkent, Samarkand, Fergana and Andijan regions have demonstrated results in job creation at new trade and service facilities, while the situation in Jizzakh, Navoi, Khorezm and Kashkadarya regions is unsatisfactory, as President noted.
