In France, the election campaign has begun ahead of the presidential election

According to reports, the first round of elections is scheduled for April 10.

Currently, 12 people are registered as candidates for the presidency. The first election rallies were held in Paris and Marseille.

Incumbent President Emmanuel Macron is far ahead of his rivals with nearly 28 percent of the vote. His main rival is Marin Le Pen with 17% of the vote. It is followed by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Eric Zemmour and Valerie Pecresse.

Marin Le Pen also opposed Emmanuel Macron in the decisive vote five years ago.
