India hosted Uzbek-Indian business forum

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, State Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of India Anupriya Patel, heads of relevant ministries, departments, industry associations, as well as more than 50 representatives of business circles of the two countries.
In their speeches at the opening ceremony of the Forum, the heads of delegations emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and India over the past five years have reached a qualitatively new level.
During the event, the Uzbek side took initiatives to mobilize unused resources in all areas of cooperation. Prospective areas of cooperation include agro-industrial cooperation, investments in IT sector and infrastructural projects, joint production of pharmaceutical products and their third-party distribution by establishing joint ventures specializing in the cultivation of agricultural crops and the production of high-demand food products. export to the countries, close cooperation in the textile industry, as well as the production of construction materials were emphasized.
Presentations of the investment potential in various sectors of Uzbekistan's economy were also held as part of the business forum program. The "B2B" session of negotiations revealed the interest of the business community to expand relations and work together, where entrepreneurs and investors can get to know each other, discover points of intersection of interests, and discuss new promising ideas to achieve strong agreements in the near future.
