International Economic Forum: the backbone of effective cooperation

Today, 5 October, the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel hosted an "International Economic Forum" as part of the World Judo Championships.
The forum was moderated by Minister of Sports Development of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov.
Deputy Prime Minster-Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev, President of International Judo Federation Marius Wieser, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, and First Deputy Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Islam Jasimov also spoke at the event.
In their speeches, the forum participants focused on political, social and economic potential of Uzbekistan, development of education, sports, IT, energy, import-export and investment sectors, a number of achievements and plans for further cooperation between countries and companies.
In addition, Marius Wieser, President of the International Judo Federation, said in his speech that sport serves as a bridge to prosperous international relations as well as to strong friendly relations.
The major international economic forum included a panel session as well as B2B and B2G meetings for foreign and local business representatives.
