International Turkic Culture and Heritage

Being an integral part of the Turkic world, Uzbekistan has come a long way since gaining independence in all spheres and has played an important role in the international arena. Membership of Uzbekistan in the Organization of Turkic States in 2019 is an important historical event in terms of integrating Turkic peoples, strengthening their unity and cohesion, as well as strengthening cooperation between Turkic states.
Within the framework of the Samarkand Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, the Bright Uzbekistan team held a number of meetings with guests. Among them was Gunay Afandiyeva, president of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, which aims to globalize the culture of real Turkic countries.
The International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation attaches great importance to the anniversaries of the great personalities of the Turkic world. In 2021, on the 580th anniversary of the birth of one of the outstanding figures of common Turkic literature, the founder of the Turkic poetry Alisher Navoi, the Foundation published the works of the great philosopher in the Azerbaijani language.
The aim of this event is to promote Uzbek literature in Azerbaijan, the works of Alisher Navoi, as well as to help expand the cultural and spiritual rapprochement between the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples.
