It snowed in the mountainous region of Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz reports that it snowed in the city of Ridder, Kazakhstan region on the night of August 17. It is reported that the ground is covered with dense snow at the sports base located at an altitude of 1,870 meters.

Climatologists say there is no snow at Ridder itself or at the weather station. Snowy weather is observed only in mountainous areas. But for Ridder and its surroundings, this is a normal occurrence, as the location is a high-altitude area. They also added that cold weather is expected in the entire region in the coming days.

"Precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected in the coming days in the mountainous areas of the region, namely Ridder, Katon-Koraghai district. It may be cold in the east," climatologists report.
