Kazakhstan intends to tighten the penalty for dual citizenship

According to the Ministry of internal affairs of Kazakhstan, the country intends to strengthen the punishment for dual citizenship. It is noted that now for hiding dual citizenship, a fine of 690 thousand tenge ($1,500) is imposed or expelled from the country.

It turned out that last year about 840 persons were punished for two civilians, about 140 of them were expelled from the country, the rest were fined.
