Khadija Kadyrova was awarded the Medal for Merit to the Chechen Republic

Khadija Kadyrova, the daughter of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and head of Grozny's pre-school education department, has been awarded the Medal for “Merit to the Chechen Republic”. Galas Taymaskhanov, a spokesman for the Chechen leader's administration and government, made the announcement via Instagram, Medusa reported.

Khadija Kadyrova, 21, was appointed head of the Grozny Preschool Education Department in December 2020. Prior to that, she was the director of the “Skazochniy Zamok” (Magic Tower) kindergarten in Grozny.

Ramzan Kadyrov's relatives also hold other senior positions in Chechnya. In particular, another of his daughters, Ayshat, is the republic's minister of culture, another is nephew, Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, is the mayor of Grozny.
According to Taymaskhanov, there have been major beneficial developments in the city's preschool education system since Khadija Kadyrova assumed office.

In 2018, the BBC's Russian Service published a survey of 158 high-ranking officials in Chechnya claiming that 30 % were relatives of the president, 23 percent were Kadyrov's villagers, and 12 percent were his friends and relatives.
