Khorezm to reconsider case of officials who raped children from orphanage

The case of the officials who raped the inmates of the orphanage in Khorezm will be reviewed in the court of appeal. This was announced by the press secretary of the Supreme Court Aziz Obidov.

It is noted that today in the Judicial Collegium of the Supreme Court for Criminal Cases, the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Khorezm Regional Court considered an appeal against the decision of the appellate instance dated December 27, 2022 of the part relating to A.M. and A.K. The cassation protest of the prosecutor's office of the Khorezm region on sending the case for a new consideration to the court of appeal was considered in a closed court session.

By the decision of the cassation instance of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court dated April 6, 2023, the cassation protest of the Khorezm region prosecutor's office was satisfied, and this criminal case was sent for a new consideration to the court of appeal.
