Korean government will provide scholarships for agricultural development in Uzbekistan

At the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, negotiations were held with a delegation from the Korean Rural Development Corporation (KRC) headed by Deputy Director Mr. Lee Sang Bong and representatives of the Ministry.

A part of the negotiations, agreements were signed on attracting grant funds from the Korean government in the amount of $ 4 million.

The main purpose of the Korean delegation's visit was negotiations and development of a project to create a Training Center for advanced technologies for fruit and vegetable production in Uzbekistan and assistance in transferring advanced experience to Uzbek specialists to improve the efficiency of agricultural production. The project will be implemented from 2021 to 2025, the grant funds will be used to build the infrastructure of the AKIS Agricultural Services Center in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region.
