KPMG company won the tender for attraction of a consultant on privatization of Universal Mobile System LLC

According to the relevant privatization program, as it was informed earlier, the State Assets Management Agency announced an international tender for attraction of a professional consulting company for privatization of 100% state share in the authorized capital of Universal Mobile System LLC (UMS, Asset). Ten local and international professional consulting companies participated in this international tender.

The professional consulting companies were selected based on their experience in M&A projects in telecommunications, qualifications, approach to problem solving and price proposal.

Following the results of the international tender the winner was chosen an international consulting company KPMG, which has successful experience in M&A projects in this sphere, has a professional team with high qualification level, which will be involved in the project and also has an acceptable price offer.

The State Assets Agency together with the international company KPMG will take all necessary measures to ensure transparent and successful implementation of this project based on the principles of competition, including analysis of the telecommunications market, market sounding, conducting a comprehensive financial, tax, legal and technical analysis (due diligence) of the Asset, as well as taking appropriate measures to enhance the investment attractiveness of the Asset.

An independent international professional appraisal company from the "Big Four" (except KPMG) will be involved in the Asset valuation process, taking into account their level of reputation and international recognition.

Based on the results of the initial analysis of the asset and the consultant's proposals on the organization of the sale process, a request for proposals and deadlines for expressions of interest will be announced in the near future.
