Large-scale work is being carried out in our country to support women

On July 27, 2022, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis held a meeting of the Republican commission on increasing the role of women in society, gender equality and family issues.

The meeting was attended by members of the Republican and territorial Commission, representatives of ministries and departments, as well as the media.

It discussed the progress of the implementation of the tasks set by the Presidential Decree and decisions of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan to further accelerate the work on the systematic support of families and women in March of this year.

The meeting was led by the chairman of the Commission, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.

As the chairman of the Senate noted in the introduction, large-scale work is being carried out in our country to support women in every possible way, to increase their activity, to create the necessary conditions for them. Especially important measures are being taken to strengthen the legislative and institutional framework for protecting the interests of women.

In particular, projects of 20 regulatory legal acts (3 Laws, 1 decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2 resolutions and 14 government decisions) were developed and included in the government in the prescribed manner. 3 of them are accepted and aimed at execution.

Also, with these decisions, 4 regulations regulating work in this direction, 1 “road map” and 1 forecast indicator were approved.
