Law to reduce speed limit to 60 km/h came into force today

From April 1, 2023, the maximum permitted speed in Tashkent, Nukus, plus regional and district capitals will be lowered. This is in line with a presidential decree implementing the state programme for 2023.

From today, drivers in those regions must maintain a speed limit of no more than 60km/h.

If they exceed the speed limit up to 20 km/h, drivers will be fined one BCV (330,000 UZS).
