Leaders of Uzbekistan and Egypt made a statement to the media

After negotiations at the highest level, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdulfattah as-Sisi made a statement to representatives of the media.

During the talks, the leaders expressed a unanimous opinion about the large - scale reforms carried out in the two countries-the new Uzbek strategy and the Egyptian program “New Republic”, the combination of work on creating new jobs and reducing poverty, social protection of the population and the development of urban infrastructure.

"Together we aim to build a solid bridge of cooperation not only between the two countries, but also between our strategically very important regions,” said the leader of our country.

At the meeting, the heads of state considered in detail the issues of intensifying political consultations, expanding multifaceted ties in the areas of trade-economic, investment, transport-logistics, cultural-humanitarian and security.

The head of State once again said that all conditions will be created for Egyptian companies to implement mutually beneficial projects in our country.

Within the framework of international and regional organizations, it was pledged to continue the practice of active mutual support.

At the end of his speech, the head of state expressed firm confidence that the results of the Uzbek-Egyptian summit will bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level in the interests of the well-being of our friendly peoples and give them a long-term spirit.
