Medical certificates to be issued electronically

In accordance with the draft presidential decree and in order to provide the population with quality medical services, it is planned to gradually transfer the issuing of temporary disability certificates and other medical certificates to electronic form.

It has also been announced that by 2023, 30 family health centres, 110 family doctor's surgeries and up to 520 small medical centres will be established.

Temporary disability certificates and other medical certificates:

    In Navoi and Syrdarya provinces - from 1 July 2023;
    Tashkent city, Tashkent and Samarkand provinces - from 1 October 2023;
    The rest of the country's regions will begin issuing medical certificates and certificates of sickness in electronic form on 1 January 2024.

Accordingly, from 1 January 2024 it will be prohibited to request medical certificates in paper form. From 1 July 2023, state health insurance mechanisms will be introduced in Tashkent City in a phased manner.
