Medicines necessary for oncology and oncohematology can be produced in Uzbekistan

It is planned to implement 207 projects in the pharmaceutical industry with a total value of 725 million dollars, of which 68 will be launched this year. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at the meeting held on April 18.
At the meeting, the head of state emphasized the need to ease the credit burden on entrepreneurs. Therefore, it was decided that Asakabank will participate as an investor in bank projects with its own share of up to 25%. 300 million dollars of long-term credit resources will be involved in financing projects aimed at localization and providing working capital. A center for pharmaceutical projects has been opened at the bank, which provides support to entrepreneurs.
It was said that 400 types of new products can be developed and import compensation of 670 million dollars can be compensated by supporting the enterprises working at low capacity. For this purpose, enterprises will be granted a revolving loan of up to 1 million dollars for a period of up to 18 months, and exporters will be granted a loan of up to 2 million dollars with the guarantee of income insurance.
The possibility of production of drugs and substances necessary for oncology and oncohematology in our country based on foreign technology was demonstrated. The task of adapting many enterprises in the field to the requirements of the GMP certificate was set.
Tasks were given to accelerate projects in the Tashkent pharmaceutical cluster.
