Meeting of the Judicial Academies of the Turkic Council was held in Ankara

1st Meeting of the Judicial Academies of the Turkic Council convened in Ankara on 5 October 2021.

The meeting was hosted by the Justice Academy of the Republic of Turkey and attended by the representatives of the Justice Academies and the Judiciary Training Institutions of the Member States.

At the opening session, H.E. Yavuz Selim Kıran, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Hasan Yılmaz, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council and Muhittin Özdemir, President of the Justice Academy of Turkey delivered speeches regarding the prospective cooperation opportunities in the field of justice among the Member States.

During the meeting, Parties informed each other about the activities of their respective institutions and discussed the possibilities of determining common strategies and cooperation areas in the field of judicial training.

Representatives of the Member States in principle agreed on establishing “Union of Turkic Judicial Academies” under the umbrella of the Turkic Council with the aim to carry forward the cooperation opportunities among the Member States in the legal sphere.
