Meeting with Turkish Ambassador held at Tashkent City Hokimiyat

Turkiye's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar has held a meeting with the acting khokim of Tashkent, Bakhtiyor Rahmanov.

During the dialogue the sides exchanged views on further strengthening and expanding ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries.

Bakhtiyer Rahmanov expressed hope for a speedy recovery of the Turkish people from the difficult situation caused by earthquakes, and said that our country as well as our capital are always willing to help the Turkish people. During the conversation, the two sides discussed further development of trade-economic, social-cultural ties between Tashkent and major cities of Turkey.

H.E. Bekar expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and acknowledged the positive results of the wide-ranging reforms conducted under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Noting the Republic of Turkiye will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in October this year, he made proposals on organizing cultural and educational events in Tashkent.

B. Rahmanov said he would study the proposals together with officials and report back.
