Military parade will not be held in Kazakhstan on May 9

The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan due to cost savings and other tasks this year will not hold a military parade dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day on May 7 and Victory Day on May 9. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

"Holding a military parade in 2023 in Kazakhstan is not planned due to the need to save budget funds, as well as solve other problems. Currently, maintaining the combat readiness and mobility of the units of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan at the required level is a priority," the ministry said in a statement.

Recall that even in 2022, Kazakhstan did not hold a military parade in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day. In general, since 2019, a military parade has not been held in the republic on May 7, and since the beginning of the pandemic, on May 9.
