Ministry of Energy and Gazprom sign roadmap for cooperation

Negotiations on cooperation in gas sphere were held between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Gazprom company and technical opportunities of natural gas supply from Russia to Uzbekistan were discussed.

According to the signed road map, a working group formed between the parties agreed to study the technical measures required for the transit of gas through the Central Asia-Centre gas pipeline that runs through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Once the working group has technically completed all the work, the main conditions for natural gas supply will be discussed.

It should be noted that the negotiations and the road map are aimed at supplying natural gas to the domestic market in the required volumes, while fully retaining ownership of the existing gas transportation system in Uzbekistan. There is no threat to the gas transportation system, no threat to our sovereignty.

In the future, all work in this direction will be carried out with full protection of Uzbekistan's national interests, and the results will be constantly communicated to the public.
