Ministry of Health: The news about a coronavirus outbreak among children is unfounded!

The news that "the incidence of coronavirus among young children is on the rise" has circulated on social media. The Ministry of Health reports that this information is false.

According to the department, the last spike in acute respiratory diseases and coronavirus among children occurred last autumn. At that time, 500 additional beds were created for patients at the Zangiata Infectious Diseases Hospital. Now, the situation has stabilized and the morbidity has sharply decreased.

In case there is an increase of the incidence of coronavirus or other acute respiratory illnesses among children, official information will be made available.

"Dear compatriots! In the winter climate keep a close eye on the health of your children, especially their clothing and food! Do not believe these kinds of fake
information!", the Uzbek Health Ministry said in a statement.
