Mirziyoyev criticises poor situation in the regions

At the meeting, the president criticised the poor situation in the rest of the country's regions as well. The hokim of Tashkent region, Z. Mirzaev, were severely warned, and the hokim of Chirchik were given a "hayfisan".

The hokims of Zangiata, Tashkent, Bulagboshi, Khojaabad, Uchkurgan, Koson, Karman, Kamashi, Shafirkon, Khojaly, Denov, Sharaf Rashidov, Pastdargam, Fergana, Pakhtabad, Khazorasp districts and cities of Samarkand, Namangan, Ferghana, Gulistan, Chirchik did not feel responsible, it was shown that they did not draw any conclusions from the cold days of the previous month.

Today, the biggest challenge for leaders at all levels is to ensure smooth operation of the electricity and gas networks. But the officials of the sectors concerned are failing to do so. To this end, Deputy Energy Minister Sherzod Khojaev has been relieved of his duties.

Mustafoyev, head of Territorial Electricity Grids, Normatov, head of Uztransgaz, and Abdullayev, head of Uzbekneftegaz, were also relieved of their positions and given a three-month probationary period for their current positions.

The situation would not have been as dire if some financial issues of the grid companies had been resolved in time, some of their revenues would have been invested and spent on upgrading the networks, the meeting stressed.

It was noted that the meeting also criticised the neglect of the issue by those in charge. It was decided that there would now be a completely different system - strategic enterprises would be handed over to the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
