Mongolian embassy to open in Uzbekistan

On March 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Batmunkh Battsetseg.

It has been reported that during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of agreements reached following the meeting of the two presidents in September 2022.

Proposals on expanding the legal and contractual framework of bilateral cooperation, holding the next round of inter-ministerial consultations, diversifying commodity turnover and implementing joint cooperation projects were discussed.

"It has been a great pleasure to welcome in Tashkent the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, H.E. Batmunkh Battsetseg, and congratulate her on the International Women's Day. We welcome the decision to open an Embassy of Mongolia in Uzbekistan. In recent years, the bilateral relations have demonstrated positive dynamics in all spheres without exception," Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov wrote on his official page on social media.

Also at the meeting, an agreement was reached to explore the establishment of an Uzbek-Mongolian working group and a business council for cooperation in agriculture.
