More than 2,300 foreigners immigrated to Uzbekistan in 2022

According to the State Statistics Agency, 2,300 people immigrated to Uzbekistan from abroad in 2022. This is a significant decrease compared to the last 5 years.

In 2018, 2.9 thousand people arrived in Uzbekistan for permanent residence, in 2019 - 2.5 thousand people, in 2020 - 1.1 thousand people, in 2021 - 1.9 thousand people.

Also of the 2,300 citizens who chose Uzbekistan as their country of residence last year, 1,100 were men and 1,200 were women.

The bulk of those who immigrated to Uzbekistan from foreign countries include Russia (35% of all immigrants from abroad), Kazakhstan (32.8%), Tajikistan (6.7%), Kyrgyz Republic (4.8%), Turkmenistan (1.6%) and other countries (19.1%).
