More than 9,000 cultural treasures related to the history of Uzbekistan have been identified in foreign countries

According to the information service of the Cultural Heritage Agency, more than 9000 household items, archaeological finds, various decorations, manuscripts, documents related to the history and culture of Uzbekistan, which are stored in about 40 countries of the world, such as textiles and musical instruments.
It is noted that manuscripts constitute 44% of this wealth, and special attention is paid to their study and promotion.
Information on 330 cultural objects - 173 manuscripts, 157 museum exhibits in 2022 were identified, studied and brought to Uzbekistan copies of manuscripts related to history and culture of our country, which are stored in foreign countries, and their scientific description was carried out.
According to preliminary results, "The Register of Manuscripts Abroad about Uzbekistan. Volume 1" was published in 1,000 copies in Uzbek, English and Russian, and presented to scientific and cultural institutions and organizations in Uzbekistan and around 40 countries.
The second and third volumes of this Register and the scientific facsimile of the unique manuscript "Badoje al-Biday" by Alisher Navoi, which is kept in Turkey, have been prepared for publication so far.
Another scientific success in 2022 was the publication under the direct initiative and guidance of the Agency's employee, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Roik Bahadirov of the first edition of "Khabibullayev A. Ancestral Legacy: Manuscripts in the USA", containing information concerning manuscripts belonging to our scientists stored in libraries of higher educational institutions in the USA. The publication contains data received as a result of the study of the fonds of the following 13 libraries, containing a scientific description of 556 manuscript copies of 123 works written by 31 scientists.
