NATO operational forces will be increased to 300 thousand in 2023
The number of NATO emergency response forces will be increased from 40,000 to 300,000 in 2023. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
"As for the number of forces to be increased, they will be ready for next year. These forces are funded by NATO countries. They will settle in the territory of their countries, but they will be ready for the protection of a specific area," said the general secretary.
In addition, many heavy equipment and weapons warehouses will be placed on the eastern flank of the alliance.
