Navoi FEZ enterprises will export to the American and Canadian markets

Uzbek Ambassador to the United States and Canada Javlon Vahobov visited enterprises in the Navoi Free Economic Zone to canvass opportunities to expand and deepen trade and economic ties with American companies.
In particular, there was a presentation of the activities of one of the companies "BENKAM", founded in 2015. It is noteworthy that the company's products are widely utilized in the automotive industry and US-Canadian construction. “BENKAM” has also managed to proliferate its exports to Canada fivefold since 2019.
During the talks with the campaign management, the prospects of the North American market and the real opportunities for further increase in exports to the United States and Canada were addressed. In this regard, the sides expressed interest in maintaining close contacts between the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington and “BENKAM” to assist finding new importers.
During the visit to the Navoi Free Economic Zone, a meeting was held with the head of “Gazgan Marble Group”, which specializes in the production of composite slabs and materials from marble and granite. The company produces 300,000 square meters of products per year, of which more than 60% is exported. In fact, the used Gazgan marble is unique with its decorative properties and enables more than 30 colors. Due to such features and excellent appearance, this material has been used in the design of many important structures in the CIS, as well as Tashkent and Moscow metro stations.
At the end of the event, practical measures were identified to strengthen trade and economic ties with US partners, expand the export potential of local businesses by escalating the volume of supplies to the United States.
“US Inc”, along with local officials, also inspected the site for a clinical diagnostic laboratory and testing base in Navoi city, as well as an ambulance station. The $ 24 million US project is expected to launch in the short run.
