Nazarbayev calls on Uzbekistan to join the EAEU

The first president of Kazakhstan spoke about this at a meeting with Mishustin in Nur-Sultan.

"As the honorary chairman of this organization, I am watching this, and we need to strengthen this organization, we need others to be here, our neighbors ... Uzbekistan, Tajikistan - they should be, we also need to work with Turkmenistan," Nazarbayev said.

Now the members of the EAEU are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan received observer status in December last year. Moldova and Cuba have a similar status.
