Netflix has removed its app from the Russian App Store and Google Play

The American streaming service Netflix has removed its application from the App Store and Google Play in Russia.

On March 6, Netflix announced that it was suspending operations in Russia. In addition, the company has stopped working on original Russian projects. The decision comes amid ongoing military operations in Ukraine since February 24.

TechCrunch, a U.S. resource, based on the results of a Sensor Tower study, reported that 6,982 apps for the iPhone and iPad have been removed from the Russian section of the App Store since Feb. 24.

In particular, beverage maker Coca-Cola, clothing brand H&M, as well as sports associations of the NFL, NBA, WWE, Eurosport channels have withdrawn their programs.
