New draft constitution to be put to national referendum

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in his address to the Oliy Majlis.

The head of state added that it is necessary to think comprehensively and without haste to develop a constitution, the content of which is enriched with the spirit of "glorification of human dignity", worthily serving future generations and corresponding to the new Uzbekistan.

"All suggestions and wishes expressed by our citizens will definitely be taken into account, and the draft constitution will be put to a nationwide referendum," the president said.
