New Justice Minister Appointed

By presidential decree, Akbar Tashkulov, who serves as rector of Tashkent Law University, was appointed Minister of Justice, the Cabinet of Ministers said.

Akbar Tashkulov was born in 1971. He is a jurist by profession, a counselor of justice of the first degree.

He served as Deputy Minister of Justice from 2017 to 2021, and before that he held various positions in the system of the Ministry of Justice. In 2015, he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

We previously reported that Ruslanbek Davletov, who held this position until today, was appointed advisor to the president on socio-political development.
