New opportunities for international trade

On November 23 this year in Hilton Tashkent City took place an event on launching of step-by-step trade information platform Uzbekistan Trade Info, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment
and Foreign Trade and the State Customs Committee with the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO (ITC) in the framework of the project "Ready4Trade Central Asia", financed by the European Union.
During the event, there was an official launching ceremony and presentation of the step-by-step trade information platform Uzbekistan Trade Info, as well as discussion of the platform's potential for Uzbekistan and Central Asia to enter international markets.
The online tool will help provide free and constant access to information related to cross-border trade, reduce time and costs for entrepreneurs, and help eliminate regulatory and procedural barriers to trade.
The platform is being developed by the team in conjunction with government agencies and the private sector to ensure that information is continually updated and provided in an up-to-date manner.
The platform was launched as part of the four-year Ready4Trade - Central Asia project, funded by the European Union. The regional project, aimed at expanding trade links, supports the development of intraregional and international trade in five Central Asian countries, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The step-by-step trade information platform Uzbekistan Trade Info will be an effective tool to facilitate cross-border trade, complementing existing national online services, and help Uzbekistan's private sector take full advantage of international trade opportunities.
