New US Ambassador meets representatives of big business in Uzbekistan

On January 20 of this year, Jonathan Henick, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "BMB Trade Group".

Within the framework of the open dialogue, J.Henick noted that since his assumption of office, this is the first meeting with representatives of large private business in Uzbekistan, expressed interest in getting acquainted with the organization of the work of entrepreneurs on the example of "BMB Trade Group".

In turn, Bekzod Mamatkulov expressed gratitude for the reception, noting that the company has experience of working together with American investors and is aimed at further development of mutually beneficial partnership on export, investment and consulting projects.

It was emphasized that the chosen strategy for the development of the New Uzbekistan, as well as reforms to liberalize legislation regulating entrepreneurial activity, have generally had a positive impact on the dynamics of business activity in the republic.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on new opportunities for the development of entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, the introduction of international best practices in doing business, as well as the establishment of exports of dried fruits and vegetables, saffron brand "BMB Za'faron" to the American market.
