An 18-tonne container of halal meat worth about $ 400,000 US has left Karachi and is scheduled to arrive in Tashkent within a week.

The consignors of the cargo were two companies - Shaheen Group and Pyramid Logistics Pakistan.

Prior to the cargo, there was a grand ceremony with a speech by Shaheen Group CEO Malik Sher Khan. In particular, he noted that in the short run another 50 containers of meat will be sent to Uzbekistan, and in the meantime, the pace of exports of halal meat will increase.

The product was sent in a special container equipped with all the applicable conditions for non-perishable and long-term storage.

The Director of Pyramid Logistics Pakistan also gave a speech at the ceremony, emphasizing the high potential of Pakistani meat in the Uzbek market.
