Number of hajj pilgrims from Uzbekistan announced last year

In 2022, more than 12,000 Uzbek pilgrims will perform Hajj, according to Sirojiddin Salomov, head of the Committee on Religious Affairs.

It was noted that in 2022, 12,045 pilgrims performed Hajj and more than 61,000 pilgrims performed Umrah.

Also last year:

23 works of scholars who grew up in Uzbekistan were translated and 27 scientific and popular treatises were published;

3,80 religious workers and specialists from relevant departments received training at the Qualification Centre under the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan;

Twenty-four PhD and doctoral dissertations have been defended in the field of Islamic studies and source studies;
