Ore mining started at Uchkuloch mine

Extraction and processing of ore will start at the Uchkuloch mine, located in the Forish district of Jizzakh region. Now the mine produces 500,000 tons of polymetallic ore annually. This is reported by the press service of the Almalyk mining and smelting plant.
It is noted that yesterday, on April 12, the project "Development of Uchkuloch polymetallic mine" was launched. The project will include construction of a modern concentrating plant for processing of 500 thousand tons of ore per year.
The beneficiation plant will produce 5.4 thousand tons of zinc concentrate and 18.4 thousand tons of lead concentrate.
According to the project, the existing crushed ore warehouse will be completely reconstructed. External engineering communications are installed. Works on the reconstruction of vehicles and railroads are in progress. As a result of the project implementation at least 600 jobs will be created and the social and economic development of the region will be ensured.
